Let’s set sails
Having spent their careers in the adventure industry, the two owners, Michael and Jonathan have a great deal of experience creating bespoke programmes of team-building activities. We can set out a full set of challenges for your team with the additional option of other activities such as kayaking through the heart of Dublin. Our programme can involve genuine coastal explorations, identifying destinations, navigating, anchoring and setting sail! Basically your team can take the full operation of the ship (under our watchful eye of course!) It can involve challenges based around marine environmental themes such as coastal plastic collections. And it can involve bespoke orienteering/treasure-hunt style programme at sea, on the River Liffey and around Dublin City. Call us to discuss your ideas.
Residential youth programmes
We have a background in outdoor education and run sail training voyages for young people with a focus on the development of life-skills such as confidence, motivation, self respect and teamwork. We also focus on the introduction of marine biology and environmental awareness and on mental health awareness. We can run anything from a short daysail to a week-long voyage at sea. And we can design a programme of regular sailing if required. Start where the young people are at is our mantra. Contact us to discuss your specific needs. We can also advise on where to access funding that may be available to certain groups.
Fed up of slowly crawling out to sea on a rib under the weight of all of your gear, waiting around in the open weather and with no facilities. Brian Ború comforts, space, kitchen, dining table, sleeping quarters, toilets and showers offer an entirely different diving experience. Enjoy time above the water as much as you enjoy time below. Stay out over night and be on location at first light. Small rib on board at all times for additional comfort getting in and out of the water.
Fishing and/or Wildlife Spotting
Brian Ború offers a comfortable fishing experience with all the trimmings of domestic comforts including galley, central heating, sleeping quarters, toilet and shower etc. The deck has plenty of space for gear and multiple lines. As she is a very stable vessel it makes for great fishing adventures!
We can combine our sailing excursions with our city kayaking tour and rotate groups through both to cater for your numbers. A tour of Dublin Port on Brian Boru, some quayside sail setting and climbing the rig followed by a kayak tour of Dublin City is a day to remember for your young people. Our background is in outdoor education and we are keen to introduce young people to marine environmental awareness and biology so speak to us about designing a bespoke, educational school excursions.
Stags and Hens parties
We love hens and stags. We’ll make sure your group has a brilliant day out, lots of
laughs, a bit of adventure and can try out everything from setting the sails or climbing the mast. We can even tape your stag to the mast!!! Let us design a day for you to write speeches about! The quayside party on return is also a great way to warm up for a night out in Dublin.
Perfect for research teams or students carrying out marine tests, sampling, wildlife surveys etc. She has the domestic comforts of kitchen, dining, toilets and sleeping quarters, central heating. The vessel is very spacious and stable, perfect for additional equipment. We carry a small rib and kayaks allowing closer access and small excursions if required.
It does what it says on the tin. We can teach you to sail or sail you around while you enjoy the scenery, take in the wildlife and sip a glass of bubbly or a cup of tea. Don’t forget that we are a traditionally rigged vessel so it’s a totally different experience of setting sails by hand, heaving ropes, climbing the rig and out on to the bowsprit netting at the front of the boat. A really fun day out for family, friends or colleagues.
Tied up along side the quay or marina, we can cater for parties and receptions of 30-40 people. these may include catering, entertainment and drinks. add in a theme like wine tasting or whiskey sampling for a touch of class.
